About 5E:

5E Ltd supports individuals and communities through a variety of funded training programmes including Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Work Programmes and Advanced Learner Loans funded courses.

5E’s name originates from the 5E’s of Education, Equality, Employment, Empowerment and Enterprise. This embodies our vision: to continuously push our efforts to help learners progress in their education, improve their soft-skills, gain self-confidence and bring their existing strengths together with certified qualifications to unlock the potential for improved productivity and progression into employment.

About WorldSkills:

In 1950, a small but passionate group of people from Spain and Portugal had a vision: a vision that creativity and a passion for skills in young people is the pathway to both economic stability and individual happiness and success. The same year, the first WorldSkills competition was held in Madrid.

Today, that vision has brought together 75 Member countries and regions that compete in the biennial WorldSkills competition. This year it will be held in Abu Dhabi, with the next competition being held in Kazan, Russia, in 2019. Participants compete in more than 45 skills categories.

WorldSkills is not just a competition though, it is a movement. This movement envisages that by working within the six key areas of Research, Promoting Skills, Career Building, Education and Training, International Cooperation and Development, and Skills Competitions, WorldSkills will be the global hub for skills excellence and development with ongoing activities nationally, regionally, and globally.
